ABOUT ME

Welcome to SewBaggedIt!

My name is Cherie and I have been sewing on and off since I was thirteen years old. My enjoyment was born from a small pillow-making project in my Home Economics class. My parents bought me my first sewing machine for Christmas that year and the rest is history!

For a while, I struggled to find my niche in the sewing world, as there are so many things to create and ways to create them. I’ve always been intrigued with learning how to do things myself and creating handbags was no different. I began watching instructional videos that further peaked my interest and propelled me into this creative life I’ve selected.

As I began this new journey, I saw an abundance of beautiful handbag hardware, however, I never found exactly what I needed. I eventually want to start designing my own hardware to fulfill my needs and hopefully help to fill that void for others as well…more on that later.
