Aries 🤤😍

I purchased the Aries crossbody from KnottedThreadsCo a few months ago. The bag is absolutely beautiful! When I saw it, I knew I needed the pattern and I HAD to make that bag.

I got the pattern and I will say that I struggled a bit with my first bag. The reason…. I DID NOT READ THE PATTERN FIRST! With any new pattern it is highly recommended to read the pattern thoroughly first before getting started, but my hardheadedness won again.

After two failed attempts and one semi-successful attempt, I completed my first bag. This bag was given to my mother as a birthday present and she loved it!

Although mom’s bag was nice, I felt I could do better, so I tried again. The bag began looking beautiful, but I’ll admit… it’s not finished. I got to the basting step and basted the wrong pieces together and I’m DREADING the unpicking of the seams. I ended up doing what any good bag maker would do in this situation… I put it aside and started working on another bag of course! lol

I cut out another bag and got to sewing. The next bag came out MUUUUUCHHH nicer and I basted it correctly too this time. I finished this bag and started yet another bag. Y’all, I swear I have about five of the same partially thought out and cut bags on my cutting table right now. The Aries has me in a chokehold and I’m not even mad at it.

If you are looking to create a nice, simple, classy, beautiful bag I highly encourage you to check out this pattern. In the meantime, if you aren’t a sewist, but you can appreciate this beautiful bag and pattern, you can check out my little collection of Aries crossbody bags that will be listed in my shop for purchase soon! Happy sewing y’all!
